Production locations and film finance leaders from across the globe converged on April 21 - 23, 2016 for the Association of Film Commissioners International's 31st Annual Locations & Global Finance Show in Los Angeles, California at the Marriott Burbank Conference Center.
Nearly 2,700 attendees connected with more than 100 exhibitors from over 30 countries over the course of the three-day event.
For 2016, AFCI expanded opportunities for industry leaders to meet with media producers and financiers interested in investing in foreign markets with the introduction of the Global Finance Conference. The newly added confernce complemented the traditional Locations Show with offerings from national film funds and private capital from both the financial and media production communities.
AFCI assembled international film finance leaders from China, Europe, Latin America and India that discussed co-production opportunities and present an array of multiple funding sources within their respecive territories in a series of engaging seminar sessions within the Global Finance Conference. Conference speakers included: Vikramjit Roy, Head of India's Film Facilitation Office (NFDC); Gary Kho, CTO and Interim CEO of Wanda Studios Qingdao; keynote speaker, Jason Reed, Executive Producer of ABC Network's "Of Kings & Prophets" and an array of other esteemed international film finance leaders.
